ABOUT MARK HUMPHREY
Quoted as ‘Where Da Vinci meets James Bond,’ Mark Humphrey is an International award winning artist designer, who specialises in crafting objects and rooms. He owns and manages Mark Humphrey Ltd – Studio of Art, Design and Innovation.
He is obsessed with sketching innovative ideas, generating an over-whelming creative output, making beautiful masterpieces and building spacial installations.
Mark states ‘As far as my art and design works are concerned, it’s all about an expression I call, ‘Room Installations’. The appearance that spaces are viewed as art installations, where sculptural objects perform functions within the rooms and interiors. By using my 6 sided theory of beauty – function, form, motion, materials, finishes and light, the rooms are layered like oils on a canvas’.
Mark works with many of the finest workshops, master craftsmen, artisans, sculptors, specialists, engineers, consultants and technicians etc all over the world. Always with his sketch book and pen, he applies his enthusiastic spirit, an exciting energy with a hard work ethic. In the studio, workshops, on site or at client’s presentations, he is totally committed and passionate about his client’s objects or rooms. With his CAD engineer assistants, project managers and specialist artisan teams, he delivers beautiful works, time and time again.
Mark holds the DNA for any given brief and is the conduit for every project. With his lifetime’s experiences and knowledge of the creative process, he has designed and coded, a unique interactive multi-media online ‘Portfolio of Projects’ for his clients.
